The Hilton Aviemore’s sister hotel, the Aviemore Inn closes for the winter causing some security concerns. The Hilton Aviemore was therefore seeking a way of being able to monitor the Aviemore Inn remotely.
SCS has successfully achieved this utilising existing communication cabling that runs between the two hotels. Thirteen digital cameras have been set up in the Aviemore Inn as well as an intruder alarm system and all are monitored from the Aviemore Hilton.
Meanwhile, the Hilton Dunkeld House also had security requirements, having no security system in the main part of the hotel. SCS have now installed five cameras, designed to monitor the comings and goings of the hotel in the offices, reception and bar as well as the staff corridor and back areas such as the cellars, all areas at a higher risk of theft.
SCS has also supplied a new bleep system to enable staff to remain in contact with one another throughout the hotel area.
Phil Rolfe, the hotel manager, said: “The system that has been installed could be very useful in the event of fraud as well as a deterrent to theft. Images are kept for 20 days and the digital system makes it easy for the police to review them.”
Mr Rolf is extremely happy with all the equipment installed at the hotel, which includes a hand held radio system. “We have had no trouble with equipment supplied by SCS and as a local company, we know them well and know they offer a very good service,” he said.
Said SCS Sales Manager, Brian Davidson: “We have worked with the Hilton Group over the years and are very pleased to have helped resolve certain security issues.
