Stirling-based Ogilvie Communications, which is part of the Ogilvie Group, has a long and established track record in the supply and installation of business telephone systems, while Scottish Communications is one of Scotland’s leading independent security system specialists.
Scottish Communications moved to sell its Business Communication Division deal so as to concentrate on growing its successful and expanding security sector. Earlier this year Scottish Communications sold its mobile telephone division to Perth-based Hurricane Energy.
“The move allows us to fully focus on the growth of our Security Division, which has now grown into one of the leading security companies in Scotland, specialising in CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Alarms, two way radio systems and Paging Systems,” said Paul Gibson, Scottish Communication's managing director.
“We see this as a natural progression for Scottish Communications, enabling us to concentrate on our core strengths.”
Recently Scottish Communications won a major £400,000 security contract in the Forth Valley area to supply and install a centralised, digital CCTV control suite in Alloa, and several other major contracts are currently ongoing.
“Ogilvie Communications is a long established company with an unrivalled reputation for quality and service and we are delighted to have reached this agreement with them,” said Mr Gibson.
Ogilvie will now take over responsibility for the maintenance and sales support of all of Scottish Communication's former contract customers. The company is one of the leading Samsung Dealers in Scotland
