Dial-In Surveillance

The advantages of using remote viewing of premises, is being increasingly recognised by the business community.

The system enables users to dial in via their computer to view their premises remotely. A broadband connection is required and working in tandem with the Wavereader or similar software, the user can remotely view and operate the CCTV system.

Through the use of simple keyboard commands, images from all the cameras can be viewed at the same time, or alternatively focused on an individual camera. The user can also zoom in and out and tilt and pan the camera so as to achieve maximum coverage.

The connection is secured by firewalls and other protective back ups to ensure that only the approved user can gain access to the images, which are also digitally recorded.

There is also the technology, if so desired, for the system to be linked to a central monitoring station, so that at the first sign of a potential problem immediate action can be taken.

In town centres, for example, it is possible to control and monitor from a central source enabling local authorities to cut down on the cost of on site control rooms and the associated round the clock staffing requirements. With all images stored digitally, vital evidence can be retrieved instantly and in equal quality to the live image.
